Marisa represents both employers and employees in complex employment matters at the individual, class action, and PAGA representative levels. Her practice includes litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour claims, and related statutory matters.

In addition to litigation, she serves as outside employment counsel to organizations, providing comprehensive day-to-day guidance across the employment lifecycle. Her work includes preparing offer letters and onboarding documentation, drafting employment and separation agreements, advising on reductions in force, conducting workplace investigations, and counseling management through disciplinary and termination decisions — including direct participation in sensitive terminations.

Consistent with her broader practice philosophy, Marisa works with employers to proactively reduce legal exposure through compliance planning, training, and internal risk assessment, and to resolve disputes through informal negotiation when possible. She provides required California-compliant interactive sexual harassment prevention training and develops customized best-practices programs tailored to organizational needs.
